Does Sky Trade require KYC? Verification and email confirmation
Sky Trade currently asks for no identity documents. The only check is email confirmation, needed for withdrawals. How to confirm, resend, and stay secure.
Sky Trade currently does not require identity verification (KYC): no passport, no selfie, no proof of address. The only check is confirming your email address, and you need it before you can withdraw. This describes the platform as it works today; we do not promise the rules will never change.
What "verification" means on Sky Trade today
| Check | Required? | Needed for |
|---|---|---|
| Identity documents (KYC) | No, currently not | — |
| Email confirmation | Yes | Withdrawals |
| Account password | Yes, on every withdrawal | Withdrawals |
You can register, use the demo account, deposit and trade without confirming your email. Only withdrawals are blocked until the email is confirmed. Some people prefer to confirm it right away so there is no surprise later — that is what we recommend too.
How to confirm your email
- After sign-up, open the email from Sky Trade in your inbox.
- Click the confirmation link. It is valid for 24 hours.
- Return to Sky Trade — your email now shows as confirmed and withdrawals are available.
If the link expired or never arrived
- Check your spam, junk and "Promotions" folders, and search your mailbox for "Sky Trade".
- Make sure you are looking in the mailbox you registered with — a typo at sign-up is more common than you would think.
- Open Profile and press Confirm next to your email, or use the "send confirmation email" button in the withdrawal section of the wallet. A new link will be sent.
- If nothing arrives after a resend, write to support from inside the platform.
Exchanges have their own KYC
If you buy USDT on an exchange to fund your account, that exchange will ask for its own identity verification under its own rules. That process is between you and the exchange; Sky Trade does not ask you for those documents. Our buy USDT guides explain what to expect, for example on Binance P2P. The glossary entry on KYC covers the general idea.
Two-factor authentication
Sky Trade has no 2FA at the moment — there is no authenticator-app or SMS code at login. We would rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. In practice this means:
- Your password is the key to your account. Use a long password that you do not use anywhere else. Sky Trade rejects passwords shorter than 8 characters, common passwords and passwords that contain your email name, but a password manager can do much better than the minimum.
- Your email is the key to your password. Password resets go to your email, so protect that mailbox with a strong password and, if your email provider offers it, its own two-step login.
- Withdrawals ask for your password again, and a new withdrawal address is held for 24 hours. Both measures help if someone gets into an open session.
More practical steps are in account security.
Why no KYC does not mean "no risk"
No documents means a faster start, but it is not a sign of safety or of official oversight. Sky Trade does not hold a financial-services licence and is not supervised by a financial regulator. Read is Sky Trade safe for the full picture, and check whether using such a service is legal in your country.
If identity checks are introduced in the future, the rules shown in your account at that time apply. This page describes how things work currently.

24 hours. If it expires, request a new one from your Profile or from the withdrawal section of the wallet.
I didn't receive the confirmation email. What should I do?

No, two-factor authentication is not available currently. Use a strong, unique password and secure your email account.
Why does the exchange ask for my passport if Sky Trade doesn't?
