Sky Trade app: how to add it to your iPhone or Android home screen

Sky Trade has no App Store or Google Play app. How to add the web app to your home screen on iPhone and Android, what it can and can't do, and fake apps.

There is no Sky Trade app in the App Store or Google Play. Sky Trade runs in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app — full-screen, with its own icon. It takes about ten seconds, and you can remove it just as quickly.

On iPhone or iPad (Safari)

  1. Open sky-trade.org in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Keep the name or change it, then tap Add.
  5. Open Sky Trade from the new icon on your home screen.

On iPhone, add the site from Safari. Other browsers on iOS may not offer the option, or may add a plain bookmark instead.

On Android (Chrome)

  1. Open sky-trade.org in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app (the label depends on your Chrome version).
  4. Confirm. The Sky Trade icon appears on your home screen or in the app drawer.

What the home-screen app does

  • Opens full-screen in its own window, without the browser's address bar.
  • Uses the same account, balance, chart and trades as the website. Trades are opened and closed by the server, so your phone and computer always show the same thing.
  • Keeps you logged in like the browser does; a session lasts up to 30 days.
  • Updates itself: there is nothing to download or update manually.

What it does not do

  • No offline mode. You need an internet connection to see prices and trade.
  • No push notifications. The home-screen app does not send notifications to your phone. Check the platform for withdrawal status updates and other notices.
  • Pending orders need the app to be open. Pending orders run in the browser and trigger only while the terminal is open. If you close the app or your phone suspends it, they will not trigger.

If your phone aggressively closes background apps, keep that in mind before relying on pending orders. Open trades are not affected: they close at expiry on the server.

Beware of fake "Sky Trade" apps

Because there is no official store app, any app in the App Store, Google Play or an APK file calling itself "Sky Trade" is not ours. Fake trading apps are a common way to steal logins and deposits. Do not install them and never enter your Sky Trade password into them.

The real site is sky-trade.org. The partner program uses partners.sky-trade.org. If you are unsure, type the address yourself instead of following a link. More advice in account security.

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see "Add to Home Screen". On iPhone, make sure you are in Safari, not in an in-app browser (for example inside a messenger). Open the link in Safari first.
  • The app opens the login page every time. Your browser may be clearing site data, for example in private mode. Add the site from a normal (not private) tab. If login itself fails, see login problems.
  • Prices aren't moving. Check your connection and reload. If a forex pair says the market is closed, that is a different issue — see market closed.
  • Everything looks too small or cramped. Rotate your phone or try the terminal on a larger screen; the layout adapts to the screen size.

Want to try before signing up?

You can try the terminal on your phone without registering through the guest demo, or follow a demo practice plan. A short walkthrough of the screen is in reading the Sky Trade terminal.
