How to buy USDT

How to buy USDT on Binance P2P and send it to Sky Trade

Step by step: buy USDT on Binance P2P with a local payment method, pick a reliable merchant, avoid common scams and deposit the USDT to Sky Trade.

Binance P2P is a marketplace where you buy USDT directly from other users and pay them with a local method, such as a bank transfer or an e-wallet. While the order is open, Binance holds the seller's USDT in escrow and releases it to you once the seller confirms your payment. This guide walks through the whole route, from choosing an offer to seeing the deposit on your Sky Trade balance.

Binance is a separate service with its own terms, fees, limits and identity verification. Check the current conditions inside Binance before you trade; they change and depend on your country.

Before you start

  • A verified Binance account. P2P trading normally requires Binance's own identity verification to be complete.
  • A payment method in your own name — a bank account, card or wallet that Binance P2P lists for your currency.
  • A Sky Trade account. Sky Trade currently has no identity check; confirm your email, as withdrawals require it.

Step 1: choose the currency and payment method

Open P2P trading, select the Buy side and USDT, then set your fiat currency and your payment method. Type the amount you plan to spend so the list shows only offers whose limits fit it.

Step 2: pick a merchant, not just a price

The cheapest line at the top of the list is not automatically the best offer. Before you click, look at the seller's profile:

  • Number of completed orders and completion rate. A long history with a high completion rate means the seller usually finishes trades.
  • Typical release time, if shown — how quickly they release crypto after payment.
  • Merchant badges, where the platform shows them.
  • The ad's terms. Read the remarks. If the seller wants anything unusual — payment to another person's account, contact on an outside messenger, a special phrase in the transfer — skip the ad.

Step 3: create the order and pay

Enter the amount and confirm. The order opens with a payment timer, the seller's USDT is locked in escrow, and the order page shows the payment details and the account holder's name.

  1. Check that the name on the payment details matches the seller's verified name on the order.
  2. Send exactly the order amount from your own account, using the method you selected.
  3. Write in the transfer reference only what the platform's rules allow. The order page usually explains this.

Step 4: mark the order as paid — after you have paid

When the money has actually left your account, press the button that marks the order as paid. Never press it before paying, even if the seller asks you to. Marking an unpaid order as paid can get your account restricted and weakens your position in any dispute.

The seller checks their account and releases the USDT to the Binance wallet used for P2P (often the Funding wallet).

If the seller doesn't release

Write in the order chat first. If that doesn't help, open an appeal from the order page; Binance support reviews the order, the chat and your proof of payment. Do not cancel an order you have already paid for — cancelling returns the escrowed USDT to the seller.

Step 5: send the USDT to Sky Trade

  1. In Sky Trade, open the Wallet, choose a deposit, select USDT and a network. BEP-20 (BNB Chain), TRC-20 (Tron) and TON are the suggested ones. The minimum is $10 on most networks and $15 on TRC-20.
  2. Sky Trade creates a deposit with its own address, an exact amount and a QR code. It stays valid for 60 minutes, and you can have one unpaid deposit at a time.
  3. In Binance, start a USDT withdrawal, paste the address (or scan the QR) and select the same network you chose in Sky Trade.
  4. Look at the amount the recipient will receive. Binance's withdrawal fee may be taken out of the amount you type, and what arrives should match the deposit amount. If less arrives, Sky Trade credits what was received, and you can send the difference to the same address.
  5. Confirm and wait. The deposit is credited automatically after the network confirms the transfer, usually within minutes.

Sky Trade charges no deposit fee; the network fee and Binance's own fees are paid on the sending side.

Choosing a different network in Binance than in Sky Trade means no automatic credit. Such transfers go to manual review via support, and funds sent on a wrong network may be unrecoverable.

A short P2P safety checklist

  • Pay first, then mark as paid — never the other way round.
  • Keep every conversation in the order chat; disputes are decided on what the platform can see. Someone messaging you as "Binance support" elsewhere is not part of your order.
  • Never pay a third party, and ignore "refunds" offered outside the order.
  • Use only your own account; the name on the paying account should match your verified name.

Remember that the USDT you deposit is trading capital: short-term trades can lose the full stake, so send only money you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need identity verification to buy USDT on Binance P2P?

Yes, Binance asks for its own identity verification before P2P trading. This is separate from Sky Trade, which currently requires only email confirmation (needed for withdrawals).

Which network should I use to send USDT from Binance to Sky Trade?

Use a network that both sides support and select the same one on both. BEP-20, TRC-20 and TON are suggested; ERC-20 is also accepted but its minimum deposit is $20.

Where is the USDT after the seller releases it?

It goes to the Binance wallet used for P2P, commonly the Funding wallet. You can usually withdraw from there or transfer it internally first.

What if I sent slightly less than the deposit amount?

Sky Trade credits the amount actually received. You can send the difference to the same deposit address.

How do I see current P2P fees and limits?

Check them inside Binance itself: fees, order limits and payment methods depend on your country, the ad and the current rules.
