Sky Trade bonuses and promo codes: wagering rules explained

How Sky Trade deposit bonuses and promo codes work, what counts toward wagering, one active bonus, forfeiting, level codes and why a bonus is not free money.

A bonus on Sky Trade is extra balance added to your real account, usually through a promo code on a deposit. It comes with a condition: before the bonus becomes money you can withdraw, you have to trade a set multiple of it. This page explains that condition, what counts and what does not, and how to decide whether a bonus is worth taking at all.

How a promo code bonus works

  1. Open Wallet → Deposit on your real account.
  2. Enter your promo code in the Promo code field along with the deposit amount. When the code is valid, the wallet shows the bonus and the turnover it requires.
  3. Complete the deposit. The bonus is credited only after the deposit is fully paid.
  4. Trade until the wagering requirement is met. Until then, the bonus part of your balance is not withdrawable.

The wagering requirement

The requirement is the bonus amount multiplied by a turnover multiplier. The default multiplier is ×30; personal level codes use ×50 to ×100, depending on the level.

Example (illustrative): a $23 bonus with a ×50 multiplier means $23 × 50 = $1,150 in qualifying trades before the bonus becomes withdrawable.

What counts toward turnover

Only real-account trades that end in a win or a loss count. These do not count:

  • ties (the price at expiry equals the entry price, the stake is refunded);
  • cancelled trades;
  • safe trades;
  • simultaneous opposite trades on the same pair (Higher and Lower at the same time — they would cancel each other out).

Demo trades never count.

One bonus at a time

You can have only one active bonus. A new one cannot be added until the current bonus is wagered or given up.

Withdrawing while a bonus is active

With an active bonus you can withdraw your balance minus the bonus. If you want to withdraw more than that, you must explicitly give up (forfeit) the bonus. Forfeiting removes the bonus from your balance, so decide before you confirm. See how withdrawals work.

Personal level codes

From the Takeoff level up, you get a personal deposit promo code. The bonus size depends on your trader level:

LevelPersonal code bonus
Takeoff+23%
Altitude+50%
Stratosphere+75%
Orbit+100%

Level codes carry a higher wagering multiplier (×50–×100) than the default. Orbit members can also create their own promo codes.

Referral rewards

At Stratosphere and above, you receive 10% of a friend's first fully paid deposit of at least $50, up to $50. This reward is also paid as a bonus with wagering.

Why a bonus is not free money

The wagering requirement makes you trade, and every trade carries the built-in cost of a payout below 100%. A rough illustration: imagine your trades were a coin toss — winning 50% of the time at an 80% payout. On average you would lose about 10 cents per dollar staked. On $1,150 of turnover that is around $115 of expected loss, against a $23 bonus. Real results vary, but the direction of the arithmetic is the point: a large turnover requirement can cost more than the bonus is worth. The break-even win rate and expected value explain the maths.

Before you accept a bonus, divide the required turnover by your usual stake. If that number of trades is more than you would normally make, consider depositing without a code.

You are never required to use a promo code. Declining a bonus keeps your full balance withdrawable from the start.

Trading involves a risk of losing capital. A bonus does not reduce that risk — you can still lose the full amount of every trade.

Frequently asked questions

What does wagering ×30 mean?

It means you must trade 30 times the bonus amount in qualifying trades before the bonus becomes withdrawable. A $20 bonus at ×30 requires $600 of turnover.

Do safe trades count toward the bonus wagering?

No. Safe trades, ties, cancelled trades and simultaneous opposite trades on the same pair do not count.

Can I withdraw if I have an active bonus?

Yes, your balance minus the bonus. To withdraw more, you must give up the bonus, which removes it from your balance.

Can I have two bonuses at once?

No. Only one bonus can be active at a time.

Where do I enter a promo code on Sky Trade?

In the wallet, in the Promo code field when you create a deposit. The bonus is credited after the deposit is fully paid.

Is it better to deposit without a bonus?

It depends on how much you plan to trade. If the required turnover is far above your normal activity, a bonus mostly adds pressure to trade more.
