How to buy USDT with Pix in Brazil and deposit it to Sky Trade
Two ways to buy USDT with Pix: on a P2P marketplace or via a BRL deposit on an exchange. How to spot a fake comprovante and send USDT to Sky Trade.
Pix is Brazil's instant payment system, created and run by the Banco Central do Brasil. It works around the clock and settles in seconds, which makes it the most common way for people in Brazil to pay for USDT. There are two routes: pay a seller's Pix key on a P2P marketplace, or deposit reais to an exchange via Pix and buy USDT there. This guide covers both, plus the scams that are specific to Pix.
Exchanges have their own identity verification, fees, limits and availability. Check the current conditions in the service you use — nothing here replaces them.
Route 1: Pix on a P2P marketplace
On a P2P marketplace (for example, the P2P sections of large exchanges), you choose an ad from a seller who accepts Pix, open an order, and the seller's USDT is locked in escrow until they confirm your payment.
- Select USDT, BRL and Pix as the payment method, and enter the amount in reais.
- Choose a seller with a long order history and a high completion rate, not just the lowest price.
- Open the order. The payment details show the seller's Pix key (CPF, phone, email or random key) and their name.
- In your bank app, enter the key and check the name that the bank shows before confirming. It must match the seller's verified name on the order. If the bank shows a different person or a company, stop and do not pay.
- Pay exactly the order amount from an account in your own name.
- Only after the Pix has gone through, mark the order as paid in the platform.
When the seller confirms receipt, the USDT is released to your exchange account.
Pix shows the recipient's name before you confirm. That one screen is your best fraud check — read it every time.
Route 2: deposit BRL via Pix and buy on the exchange
Some exchanges let you deposit reais directly via Pix. If yours offers it for your account, the flow is simple: open the BRL deposit, pay the Pix code or key the exchange gives you from an account in your own name (exchanges usually reject payments from someone else's account), wait for the reais to appear, then buy USDT on the exchange's market or convert screen.
There is no counterparty here, so P2P scams don't apply; you depend instead on the exchange's own deposit rules, spreads and fees.
Pix-specific scams to know
Comprovante falso (fake receipt). A screenshot or PDF that looks like a Pix confirmation proves nothing — these are easy to fake. If you are ever on the receiving side (for example, a "refund" or a sale), confirm the money in your own bank app's statement, never by a picture someone sends you.
Third-party Pix. A scammer may get you to pay a Pix key that belongs to someone else — often another victim who thinks they are paying for something different. Afterwards the real account owner disputes the transfer, and you may face a frozen account and a lost order. The name check above stops this.
"Pay me outside the platform." A seller who offers a better rate if you pay on WhatsApp or Telegram is asking you to give up escrow. There is nothing to appeal later.
Fake support. Nobody from an exchange will ask you to send a Pix to "verify" your account or "unlock" a withdrawal.
Sending the USDT to Sky Trade
- In Sky Trade, open the Wallet and create a USDT deposit. Pick a network: BEP-20 (BNB Chain), TRC-20 (Tron) and TON are suggested. The minimum is $10, or $15 for TRC-20.
- Sky Trade shows a unique address, the exact amount and a QR code, valid for 60 minutes.
- On the exchange, withdraw USDT to that address on the same network. Check the amount that will be received after the exchange's withdrawal fee so it matches the deposit amount.
- Wait for the network confirmation. The balance is credited automatically, usually within minutes. If a little less arrives, the received amount is credited and you can send the difference to the same address.
Sky Trade doesn't charge a deposit fee. You can choose to see your balance in BRL in Sky Trade, but it is stored in US dollars.
A wrong network means no automatic credit: the transfer goes to manual review via support and may be lost. Also remember that trading can lose the full amount of each trade — only deposit money you can afford to lose.
Quick P2P safety reminders
- Never mark an order as paid before the Pix has actually been sent.
- Keep the conversation in the order chat.
- Never pay or accept money from third parties; no "refunds" outside the order.
- The name on the Pix key must match the seller; the name on your paying account must match yours.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy USDT with Pix directly?
Yes, either by paying a seller's Pix key on a P2P marketplace or, where an exchange supports it, by depositing BRL via Pix and buying USDT on the exchange. Check availability in the app you use.
How do I know a Pix receipt is real?
You don't, from the image alone. Check your own bank statement in the app; a comprovante can be edited in minutes.
What should I do if the Pix name doesn't match the seller?
Don't pay. Cancel the order before paying, or contact the platform's support through the order if you are unsure.
Does Sky Trade accept Pix or BRL deposits?
No. Sky Trade accepts crypto only, so you buy USDT first and then send it to your Sky Trade deposit address.
Which network is best for sending USDT from Brazil?
The network matters, not the country. Choose one that both your exchange and Sky Trade support — BEP-20, TRC-20 or TON are suggested — and use the same one on both sides.
