About BNB/USD
BNB was introduced in 2017 by a large cryptocurrency exchange and has since become the native coin of BNB Chain. On that network it pays transaction fees, and it is used for staking and in many applications. BNB Smart Chain also hosts tokens following the BEP-20 standard, including a widely used version of the USDT stablecoin.
On Sky Trade, BNB/USD is available only as OTC. Its price is generated by Sky Trade's server and does not track the real BNB price, so exchange news, token burns or regulatory headlines in the crypto world will not move it. Trading it does not give you any BNB: you open a fixed-payout Higher/Lower position on the generated price, and the outcome is settled in US dollars in your balance.
The generator ticks every half-second and follows a random walk: the next step is as likely to be up as down, and volatility changes only gradually. Reactions that real crypto traders associate with BNB — to exchange announcements, for instance — do not apply here.
Where BNB does appear for real is the wallet: BNB itself and USDT/USDC on BEP-20 are among the accepted deposit options, and BEP-20 is one of the suggested networks for sending USDT. Those deposits are genuine blockchain transfers. BNB/USD OTC, by contrast, is only a generated price series.
How to trade BNB/USD on Sky Trade
- 1Open the terminal and choose the demo account to practise, or the real account if you have deposited.
- 2Pick BNB/USD in the instrument list — the market and OTC versions are listed separately, each with its current payout.
- 3Set the stake and the expiry: a duration (for example 1 minute) or an exact closing time.
- 4Press Buy if you expect the price at expiry to be above the entry price (a “higher” trade), or Sell if you expect it below (a “lower” trade). The payout is fixed at the moment you open.
- 5At expiry the server compares the closing price with the entry price: in your direction — stake plus payout; against you — the stake is lost; exactly equal — the stake is refunded.
